“Shout for joy, Daughter Zion! Shout out, Israel! Be happy and boast with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem! The Lord has removed the judgment against you; he has turned back your enemy. Israel’s king, the Lord, is in your midst! You no longer need to fear disaster.”

T. – Talk to God before you read scripture. Ask Him to reveal truths about himself and humanity through His Word and Spirit.

E. – Encounter God and humanity. As you read scripture, keep in mind and then answer these two questions: what does this say about God and what does this say about humanity?

X. – eXamine your heart. In light of the truths that you encountered about God and humanity, how should you live, think, and feel in your life of faith? What has God taught you about Himself and you?

T. – Talk to others. If God illuminated your heart with truths about Himself and humanity, that’s too valuable not to share! Who is someone that you can share these truths with, maybe even using this same method?
